hey guys...did you get a flu shot ?

I came down with the flu on christmas day ... don't know if it was THE flu or a strain but I'll tell ya it almost killed me. :puke: :goodnight: I haven't been this sick in years and I'm still not doing very well.
Definately got me thinking if I shoulda, coulda, woulda, gotten a flu shot.

n/t

I always figured if I checked out it would be by falling off a cliff,
or driving 140 into something.... something maucho like that.
Better yet... heart failure during wild and crazy sex with....
ok we won't go there....
But in 2002 I almost kicked off from severe pneumonia.
Took me 8 months to recover, and I've never did get back 100%.
The same strain killed Charles Bronson about a year later. (he was tough)

I now realize I have a far better chance of getting killed by a
stinkin virus or other nasty little bug. That just plain sucks !!

I truly hope none of you ever have to go through anything like that.
Enjoy the little things and live every day to the fullest !!!!
That's the way I'm trying to live my life now.

mike

P.S. Sorry... I'm crabby when I'm sick

Drug companies and doctors constantly push the flu shots, but the flu is a virus that quickly mutates and becomes resistant to the vaccines. Thus is the case with the Asian Bird flu. There are other things that can cause flu like symptoms around Christmas time and make people very sick. One of them is "Black Mold" this likes to grow in evergreens (especially from the west coast) that are used for table centerpieces, wreaths, and even Christmas trees. It does not start to go away until the evergreens are thrown out. Being in the floral industry I have to be very careful around these things and where I buy them from. I nearly died 3 years ago from "Black Mold" exposure.
