The forecasting data is accurate to approximately 70% (That is what the users manual claims.). About as good, maybe even better than a trained meterologist. Basically it comes down to your interpretation of all the data points presented to you and then you can ballpark how you think the day will be.

It does have forecasting in it and, for the most part they are relatively accuate in their forecasted data. I had a Oregon Scientific weather machine that did not have near as many bells and whistles on it and it was fairly accurate in its weather predicting.
 
I Have One Of The Old Type That You Set With A Screwdriver---Takes 3-4 Days To Get It Correct Because It Needs To Let It Settle Down A Day Before Trying Again
