Hey folks ...need some help as usual

Got out between rin for an hr at the tot lot
ACE250 with 9x 12 coil

I must be used to the sniper coil and
also the GTI1500 cause i can pinpoint
well with both od them



BUT the 9x12 is different does it pinpoint near the stem like the
GTI or is it somewhere else... I found a few cons but they seemed
not to be centered ... or is it me ???

I thought I heard someone mention that the winding is different so you need to pinpoint with the heel or toe of the coil. Hope that helps..good luck !

It pinpoints the standard coil. If the targets is up to 6in deep, then you can use the 12 o'clock position of the inner coil. Practice on a coin you can see. If you want to use the cut out in the middle of the coil, then pinpoint your target as usual. When you think you have it close to the centre of the coil, release and re-hit the pinpoint button. This will give you a 4in signal plus leave only the front half of the inner coil active. re centre your target making sure you have a signal. Push the coil away from you till you lose the signal, then pull it back so that you just reacquire it again. When you get the signal back, stop. The target will be in the cut out. Again, practice this on a coin you can see. Sometimes the back half of the coil can stay active. If that happens, try again. If you still get a null after a few attempts, the detector is telling you that you have a large target under the coil.

You're thinking of a DD coil but the elliptical pinpoints a lot like one on shallow targets.
