I think you are all one up on me............ have never found a decent stone ring (real or otherwise). One ring with just stud diamonds, plenty of plain wedding bands - happy enough with plain old bands but I just want that heart stopping moment - is it or isn't it..........
big hunt tonight......... will say my prayers
I didn't finish this bit last night, but as I see so many people cashing in on the value of precious metals at the moment its probably worth adding to it..........even though this is not a platinum ring find.
Another tip for rings........ specifically on scrap value price..... sell gold in bad economic times (like now!!) but never ever sell platinum unless the economy is booming..........
Reason for this is that - well we all know how gold values work......... but platinum is used mainly in industry, so supply and demand - less manufacturing in bad economic times means a 'false' price because of less demand. I say 'false' because the price will still be going up.......... but its the demand in boom industry times that makes the price go through the roof. When I read on other forums of people cashing in platinum finds in today's market, I cringe.............. its like giving away money...
