Here is an area I have a bit of expertise in, RF interferance.

While I have no idea how the CTX will interact with a cell phone, I believe it is entirely possible for a cell phone to cause all sorts of problems. I work for Motorola and we install very large, multi million dollar, dispatch 911 centers.

Despite all of the shielding and grounding that happens, cell phones are barred from most centers. Iphones in particular will absolutely RF trash out a room during any sned/receive data times. Just overwhelming digital hash.

I could easily see a cell phone causing havoc with the audio chain on these detectors. Honestly, that is where we see it most often. Audio chain. It is about the hardest part of a system to protect due to size constraints.

I always have my iPhone in my front pants pocket and on, when detecting. I use it for notes about FPs or WPs. So far I have not had any problems. Not saying it won't happen, but so far so good.....HH
