Help!!! Where To Go For Mother's Day

My wife just told me that she wants to dry land hunt up in our local mountains, maybe in a field or in a stream on Mother's Day. My problem is that we are strictly beach hunters, I have no idea where to go. We live in West Los Angeles, if anyone has any suggestions as to where we could go for the day I'd really appreciate it.

cant help you much! maybe get some info from some old gas station attendent in the area. follow the hunt up with a surprise night in a hotel with a hot tub.
 
A picnic site by a creek would likely be good.
A park with a small creek running throught it could be good.
Check out the place where people sit in the shade of big trees.
