Help identifying this old coin.

I found this old coin in schoolyard last weekend and at first thought it was a flat button.
One side is completely smooth and as you can see in the photo, the other side does not have much detail left at all.
I can make out what looks like a "1" at the top and below it a date that ends with a "9".
It also appears to be a wreath surrounding the other edge of it.
This coin just slightly larger than a U. S. penny.

Thanks Ron,
Back then Austria was a large Counrty almost the size of France. It included many smaller countries we see on today's map. Even part of the Ukraine. Prussia was Northern Germany. Poland belonged to Russia.
I think each state of Austria made similar coins with differant mint marks.
Politically the whole region has aways been a mess and changed by Wars. Are we headed there by becoming an Un-United States?

This is a 1936 school where this find came from.
My buddy also found an 1883 coin from the Netherlands the same day that I found this…. His is in much better shape though.

I's use a gum eraser to try and bring out some of the detail. At this point it couldnt do any harm.
