Heh...This ring sure does make for a good conversation piece. With that being said I have not been able to uncover much more about it. I have posted it on several different Alchemy and occult forums trying to do research on it and have received mixed signals. Some negative (form people who say I made the ring and the story behind it up. Like I have that much time on my hands. LOL!) and others positive. The only thing that is for sure is that no one has any idea where it came from or who the face is on the ring. I have found one other post thread from 2009 requesting information about the same (but it has a large crack on it faceplate) ring that the poster found in a culvert. No information as supplied to the poster then as well and attempts to contact the original poster from 2009 have lead to a dead end. The hard part about the symbols is that...alchemy symbols tend to variy from alchemist to alchemist...sect to sect...occult to occult from generation to generation. The basics are the same but the symbols can and will differ. Be it for a particular reason/meaning to the individual using the symbol or just for artistic interpretation.
For me...I would consider the ring a novelty piece with good conversation value. Put it in your display case Zoomr and count it as a rare find. May even be unique if the other ring I mentioned is no longer around. All in all a good dig and very interesting.
If you do want to keep it as it gives you the hee-bee-gee-bees...send it to me.
Happy Hunting all.
