Help ID this Ring

Heh...This ring sure does make for a good conversation piece. With that being said I have not been able to uncover much more about it. I have posted it on several different Alchemy and occult forums trying to do research on it and have received mixed signals. Some negative (form people who say I made the ring and the story behind it up. Like I have that much time on my hands. LOL!) and others positive. The only thing that is for sure is that no one has any idea where it came from or who the face is on the ring. I have found one other post thread from 2009 requesting information about the same (but it has a large crack on it faceplate) ring that the poster found in a culvert. No information as supplied to the poster then as well and attempts to contact the original poster from 2009 have lead to a dead end. The hard part about the symbols is that...alchemy symbols tend to variy from alchemist to alchemist...sect to sect...occult to occult from generation to generation. The basics are the same but the symbols can and will differ. Be it for a particular reason/meaning to the individual using the symbol or just for artistic interpretation.

For me...I would consider the ring a novelty piece with good conversation value. Put it in your display case Zoomr and count it as a rare find. May even be unique if the other ring I mentioned is no longer around. All in all a good dig and very interesting.

If you do want to keep it as it gives you the hee-bee-gee-bees...send it to me. :)

Happy Hunting all.

I am somewhat certain that the man on the ring is Baldon the Magnificent. He ruled the planet Zebulon after the sorcerer, Malthon, turned the planet into a rehab for intergalactic Colts fans. I believe that the markings depict offensive plays that Baldon had attempted to deliver to Earth when his inebriated saucer pilot crashed into the ocean 27 miles south of Key West. The ring was found years later when an old nun almost choked to death while eating a shark steak in Miami.

lol gopher...I can send you a close up of the face and the eyes if u like...That should be in your dreams for years to come/or nightmares...lol

took it this morning to a local jeweller who has been buying and selling for 35 to 40 years (retired now)..he was baffled by its weight and glass like appearance..
he never seen anything like it..The weight got him though...could be radium..a member of the platium family...he stated
Still clueless here..............
cheers

Pretty sure it's not radium, as radium is about 1 million times more radioactive than uranium. I don't think radium metal exists in its natural state as it oxidizes rapidly.

see linklink here

Your jeweler may have meant iridium which is one of the platinum group and occasionally used for jewelery

If it really is radium it really did come from hell and anyone that wears it would quickly depart this world due to radiation poisoning and not for any occult reason.

Enjoy your oddity, if for no other reason it is a great conversation piece.

People can be evil, not rings.

My wife just reminded me it might be rhodium also used in jewelry and also of the platinum group
