Hello all, new here to friends and finds... something I think is funny Brand loyalty..And the borderline psycho

Now don't get me wrong I like the minelab I bought and think it is a great detector..Do I write a scolding response if someone says its not a good detector? No, a metal detector is a machine it does not have feelings, you do not need to defend its honor and it can't read what people write. You have got to wonder what some people are doing with these things when UPS leaves the house!!! I was reading a post in a forum here this morning and all I could think of was private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket when he's sitting talking to his rifle, "your coil is clean so that your action is beautiful". If somebody has a rotten experience with a detector it stands to reason they might not like it. Much like if you tried say SCUBA diving, you do your homework and pay hundreds for a first and second stage regulator, take your time and get your rig together, its working great right up to about 120 ft and then it takes a s%$# (first and second stage)and its goodbye air supply. I think its safe to assume you won't have the best outlook on that product after that.
There is no need to go into Norman Bates mode and start asking about grill cheese sandwiches every time someone says something bad about the detector you happen to own. If you read this and found it applies to you  its a humorous outlook on something I think is funny don't take it personal.

We all use different machines plus most of us have hunted with each other before. We kid around with each other and poke fun at each other but it's all in fun, welcome to the forum
