Heavy Surf but a Nice Silver Ticket!

I didn't hunt yesterday as I was giving some pulled muscles a chance to heal up and the weather yesterday was miserable but this morning the sun broke out before low tide, so I through my gear into the jeep and headed down to Horseshoe Bay for a look see. The surf was heavy breakers but the spacing was pretty good so I decided to give it a go. I took it easy because I didn't want to get caught in a riptide, nor did I want to add further injury to my pulled shoulder muscles. I did get clipped a couple of times by rogues but nothing serious enough to give me a complete tumble - those always hurt.
$2.16 in clad and a nice .925 silver bracelet with a byzantine link was my take for 2 hours in the surf. No gold but a good day nonetheless and I got some exercise as well as worked on my tan. The weather forecast is pretty dodgy for tomorrow so I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather so I can decide whether or not to go looting on Saturday or just wait for Surf Church.

Cheers,

Nice to see someone is finding something I had a two ring day Monday it was Junk and Junk Pretty Junk but Junk. It has really been slow here for anything as sanded beaches are deep.

My lovely wife has been in Montreal on business this week and I picked her up from the airport yesterday afternoon. Today she decided to play hookie so after my hunt at Horseshoe Bay around noon, I popped my finds in the tumbler and we headed off to The Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel for lunch.

Going to a nice hotel for lunch is a luxury we indulge in ocassionally and there is something highly civilized about having a nice meal with a special cocktail in the serene surroundings of a top flight hotel. We started off with a Martini In Black which is composed of Vodka, Kahlua, Espresso and Heavy Cream - these are absolutely delicious but really blow your diet out of the water because they have about a billion calories each. We watched the pounding surf through the windows of the dining lounge while we sipped our martinis, surf that had been pounding on me only an hour earlier - - - then lunch arrived.

Middle Eastern Grilled Lamb and Chicken Tikka were both delicious, topped off with another round of Martinis in Black for dessert which put us in the mood for a romantic stroll on the beach. Back down to Horseshoe Bay for a stroll arm in arm which helped to burn up some of those extra martinui calories and made for the perfect mental health break for this Pirate and his Princess, today.

Cheers,
