Headphones, Not To Beat A Dead Horse, BUT

IMO, you are not going to hear anything more on those strong signals. In fact, I don't hear enough, if any difference in signals whether I am using 8 dollar phones or 100 dollar phones. The most important thing with the Tejon is where the signal begin's to breakup on the disc. I, like many, set disc one on foil and disc two where a nickle signal's but break's up just a bit. Then eagle buttons will be a slightly better hit than the nickle. Minnies will be between the nickle and a pulltab. Most all other coins, all other modern coins will still hit strong with the disc maxed. With a Tejon and the 5.75 coil you can do anything a detector can do, and that with any phones, IMO.

I use 8 dollar Radio Shack phones that sit on the ear when it's hot and use better Sun Ray phones in the winter when it's cold.
