The MXT is a great detector and I will say it is a lot more fun to use than the Explorer is too, but the Explorer is a deeper seeking detector for coin hunting we have seen. We have done many comparison on deep coin in actual hunts and the Explorer will see some the MXT wont. The MXT you can swing much faster than you can the Explorer so in most case you can cover more ground per hour. For a all around detector the MXT is great and if I didn't have a Sovereign and Explorer to use the MXT would be the one I would use.
