Head Phones

I just upgraded from an XLT to an Explorer XS and was wondering how everyone felt about the stock headphones. They are way different than the ones that came with the xlt and the sound seems to be duller. Everyone has said that the Grey Ghost NDT's are great. What are your thoughts?
Thanks

a lot of discussion has taken place recently on headphones. Do a search on "headphones" and read the previous post for a lot of good information. also the adapter from sunray that acts as a stand and converter from a 1/8 to 1/4" jack will let you use whatever headphone you like, even the one you haave for the Whites if that is what you are used to.

One of the 1st acc's you need is the Sunray adapter. The ML 1/8" jack is not too strong in time most have failed. The head phones you have with your XLT will not work with the Sunray stand/adapter. The stock headphones will work but they put a strain on that small jack. I would invest in a good set of headphones and the SR stand. The next toy is the SR Probe. It is really good. Good luck with the switch of detectors.

I have the Grey Ghost NDT, they are good, but I also like my Fishers. The goo then about the NDT is the interchange of cords and the independent volume control.

Most of our Explorer users prefer the NDT's but a few like the Ultimates as well. I use them and think they are excellent. Their lifetime warranty is a great plus. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
