Beach re-nourishment projects that were done last year are taking a beating. Two local city beaches that received tons of sand, Treasure Island and St.Pete Beach, are losing tons of beach sand by the day. Three that I visited, Treasure Islands North beach and Sunset are showing lots of erosion, and Upham on SPB has lost yards of sand that has spread south in front of the hotels. Have not been down to PAG, but it can't be much better!!
* With all the rain and major high tides the water has no place to go and flood warnings,alerts and evacuations are happening now all around the Tampa Bay area.
