Have you guys ever seen these?

Yea I know what you mean my dad was a big collector in the 60's. he had an older cousin that would take him along in the late 50's relic hunting. Back then they didn't even have detectors besides the WW 2 mine detectors. Just about everything I know I learned from them. Both of them still have the first Minnie ball they ever found. It was never about money with them just history. I've learned to be the same way, some folks just can't understand why we do what we do. Nothing beats the feeling of uncovering relics of the past and being able to put the history together with the story they tell....

My son has 2 he found at a camp site here in east TN. He had them authenticated at a large CW show in Murfreesboro TN. They are rare and will bring a lot of money if you decide to sell them. If you keep anything keep finds like them.

I hear you about that buddy. I dont sell anything.

These are rare but they are found in more places then Gettysburg and Chancellorsville. A friend of mine found one on south mountain. You were right about the ammo box exploding I herd the same story. By the way they are $200 bullets but I wouldn't sell them If I ever found one... They would be in my display. HH

Now here's the canudrum buddy. Mead brang his army over the Catocton MT to the Cumberland valley. & there were big camps there. After Gettysburg he followed Lee on the other side of the mountain. So not to let the cat out of the bag third corps troops came over foxes gap. Just saying. HH

Congrats!

Digger70pa, nice finds ! I read your other post about the "New Austrian" CSA bullets you dug. I have dug two myself in Suffolk, VA. The one on the left still has a little paper left on it. HH
