Have you detected your own yard?

When the ground is saturated with water in increases the conductivity of all ferrous targets in your yard. So yes, you will find more and go a little deeper after a good soaking rain.
 
....and only found some newer clad and a broken silver skull ring! BUT - in all my neighbor's yards i've recovered civil war bullets, an occasional silver or copper, and buttons! i'm one of the lucky ones who lives about a quarter mile from a small civil war battlefield. the woods surrounding the house and the private property in between has been very productive too. i know all the property owners, and have permission to hunt it all, so i consider the whole place [about 800 acres] my front yard! yeah, i'm one of the lucky ones. hh!
