Hating my Tiger Shark Help!

Cant believe he didnt find one Euro or a Drachma or at least a Dinar?...Generally we give everybody respect and are very helpful, but this guy? 'Its junk, and I'm gonna throw it in the trash'...How hard is it to fix a floppy coil? I bet he has velcro shoe laces...'400hrs hunting Dubai beaches' really got to me...we should all be so lucky!:shrug:

For one thing, the Tiger Shark works GREAT around our West Coast Beaches with varying degrees of BLACK Sand. I don't understand why your digging nails with your Tiger Shark. I don't dig any
nails and you shouldn't with that 120 Discriminator. Works Great for a VLF over Salt Water if you understand the mechanics.

Select All Metal salt mode. Set Disc to zero and ground balance over the beach where you will be detecting. (remember to set the GB control to full CCW before commencing the salt GB) Then set Disc to 2 or 3 and away you go.
If you donot Ground balance in the salt mode over salt beach sand then you will not achieve good ground balance and the disc mode will not get good depth and may be blanking over the sand . It is a silent search disc mode so you will not know iif the detector is blanking unless you place a good target on the sand and check if the detector is working ok.

Whenever you re ground balance you must set the disc to zero first, do the ground balance and then reset to the disc level that you want.
Using the disc above foil will lose some small gold items. Setting it above pull tab will lose a lot of gold items.

If you move from the dry sand to the wet sand or visa versa you will need to re ground balance
