Has Anyone Ever Been Assaulted While Metal Detecting? I Was Yesterday Evening:blink:

Thats why if I'm in an area I don't trust I never wear headphones I want to hear people around me!
Or wear them around my neck.

On a NJ beach two fellows tried to rob me and asked for my wallet, detector etc....Always carry a floral shovel when on such a beach and told them one of them was going to lose their head if they came any nearer...guess it did the trick as they went on their way...Remember even in a park your digger can be twofold and double as a weapon.
Nuff said I guess...Carrying a sidearm seems like a good idea but can lead to many problems if you shoot or kill someone so would consider the consequences...
Guess hunt with a buddy is best solution...

Well said Dan ...... Dan is a retired State Trooper and fully understands the ramifications of shooting someone.
So give it some thought before you do it. Yours and your family's life can be ruined in a split second.

I constantly watch my back while im detecting but i will use my lesche digger to open someone up if there going to assault me.
But i surely wont be around when the cops arrive.........
