Has anybody used an ultrasonic cleaner to clean their coins?

Thanks Ivan. I saw that he had pictures of 2 Lortone tumblers. There was no info on price, but that's only a phone call away. I'll see if there is anybody closer, as well as compare prices. I saw he has an X-Terra forum. I clicked on it and came straight back to Findmall.
Mick Evans.

A GOOD ultrasonic cleaner will cost around the $250.00 mark, will work however takes a lot of time.
Advantages are no scratching of item.
Disadvantages very slow, days on most other then just dirt caked.
Salt water corrosion it will clean however leaves all the pits making the item less desirable, same with copper, silver, and bronze.

Best bet if just cleaning up to take to the bank is a good rock tumbler.

If for your self, soak in olive oil for a few weeks, clean with a VERY SOFT tooth brush until it looks good enough for you, if won't come clean enough re-soak in olive oil as long as it takes.

As most know .... DO NOT TRY AND CLEAN A KEY DATE COIN!!
