I just found Phillycase, com on the web...I doubt there is a more extensive hard case listing available. It is worth a look at.
Carry-on for most carriers are limited to 45 inches H+W+L and 40 pounds. (L is typically: 22-24 inches W: 14-16 and H makes up the remainder)
Just keep in mind that most airlines will charge an oversize fee if your checked baggage exceeds 62 inches H+W+L and weighs over 50 pounds.
I had a hard shell golf bad that was wonderful for all my water detecting gear including my scoop!
I checked before a trip a few years back and was informed a fee of $75 EACH WAY will apply even if it was my only piece of checked baggage.
For that price I bought a scoop that broke down and a hard shell suit case and saved $$$$.
The case I made for my CTX3030 is a bit more rugged; as I move frequently with the military and I occasionally get to detect when traveling in/around Southeast Asia. Its a Pelican style case and I used layered foam in the bottom so that I could customize the protection around the screen and the arm cuff. The 6" coil and all of the cables are stored in between the layers below the detector in custom cutouts.
Very impressive...It makes me want to purchase a storage case just because it looks so nice and neat in there, however, since I never go anywhere it would be a waste for me.

You could come visit me on the left coast, and I'll introduce you to areas where nothing has ever been found, nor will ever. Nobody ever traveled over it since metal was invented.
Places you could swing a coil for hours and never break the hum of the threshold. The view is usually amazing though!
very very funny. I do like a nice view.I did make it out there once to the coast line somewhere near San Jose when I worked in the semiconductor industry.I found most the people out there all too friendly

Here's another setup posted by DigginVt from last year that I like...
If they still have it in production the model was an SKB iSeries 4217-7 Waterproof Utility Case w/ layered foam
Model: 3i-4217-7B-L
