Happy to announce the New ULTRA Swingy Thingy

I can't wait to get a new CTX 3030, so that I can put my Swingy Thingy on it. I think that they are great and couldn't do without one.

I got the new ultra swingy thingy in the mail today and put it on my CTX 3030 and it works great and like Doug said, it makes the 3030 glide over the ground and it does not put the detector in an awkward position. I have been out of commission for a couple of weeks because I hurt my back cleaning out the garage getting ready for a stinkin garage sale. I have made several homemade devices(contraptions) and they all put my arm or detector in an awkward, uncomfortable position.

Doc, you hit a home run with this one. For us old guys with bad backs, and shoulders this is going to be a blessing.

Thanks Randy

A really good way to use the Ultra Swingy Thingy or Original Swingy Thingy, for that matter is NOT TO SWING IT. Swinging your arm back and forth is very tiring. You also have a natural tendency, to raise your coil at the end of a swing.

If you will adjust the Swingy Thingy to the right length, takes less than a second with my QWEEGEE Quick Adjust Bungee. Get it at the right length where it is completely supporting your detector about an 1/8 th inch off the ground. Now lock your elbow into your side, lock your entire arm against your side. Take a step, and twist at the waist moving the coil of the detector to the left and then to the right. Take another step and repeat. Rotating at the waist is something you can do all day and never get fatigued.

You will also find that the coil stays nice and level on the ground and simply glides. At the end of the day you will not feel fatigue in your neck back shoulders or arms.

I tested different prototypes of the Ultra Swingy Thingy on the GPX5000 for the last 6 months, getting it perfect. And if you can swing the GPX5000 "the beast" in comfort for 10 hours, any other detector is a piece of cake.

I'm very happy you guys like it, I think you are going to find it will be an invaluable accessory that you will not want to detect without. Detecting comfortably not only makes the day pain free, you will find when you are comfortable it is easier to concentrate on the sounds and the subtle targets.

Thank you for the positive feedback,

Doc
