Wrap...It's very comfortable, and gives you a much better grip on the handle area.... It also seems to ease the foams tendency of sticking to your hand on hot days. It looks professional, improves the grip, and you can adjust the wrap for the size of your hand...It's permanent, or changeable with little effort. It is not expensive, and available in different colors. Not a bad improvement idea... I have tried his detector with it on ,and, found it very comfortable.
so I confine my hunting to throughout the week. The key, IMHO, to mastering the F75 is to take it easy with it right off and hunt for several hours in the factory preset modes and dig all types of targets until one begins to learn what the F75 is saying both in terms of sounds and visual id. What all the F75 is saying can be overwhelming to a first time user, as all of us know that have had for a while. In light of the fact that the F75 will go deep and has terrific target(s) separation, it is simply interpeting what the F75 is saying is actually under the coil and thus making the decision to dig, or not. And, this does take a little time. As I mainly coinshoot, I mostly hunt in de process, disc. 6 and less, 3h tones and about 80 sen. On some sites, I find it necessary to fg ground balance very frequently. If a site has the potiential for older era coins such as IH's, and older types, I will use 1 and 2 tones and dig a lot of targets that id in the 50's and up. I've dug IH cents that have id'ed from 55 and up. I have found the key to finding silver coins (I've recovered 162 with the 75 to date) is to very carefully investigate all high tones. On the trashy sites I hunt, it is not uncommon to get a high tone tic and a mid tone sound very close together. This is where the carefull investigation comes in. WHEN IN DOUBT, DIG IT! I can only guess how many silver coins or some other good target I've recovered right along with one or more pieces of trash in the same clump. I use both the stock DD and the small coil and probably both about equal. Each is a little different, but both have their place. I didn't intend to make this a book, but I do love my F75. HH jim tn
