Had to go over the hill yesterday... business and shopping... However, I did sneak into the lake for a couple of hours..

Fine rings Mikie!!

It's 6:40AM and 42Degrees F. and I'm looking out at heavy fog while trying to decide if I want to try my luck in the water.

The water is about the same temp too.

I really enjoy water hunting as long as I can be reasonably comfortable, but I don't like to struggle with cold and discomfort.

It's supposed to get warmer as the day goes on, but the tide is right now!

What to do, what to do?

Outstanding finds Mikie! Did I understand that you found those rings while diving? I got certified years ago but have not really done much diving and am thinking about getting back into it so that I can try underwater detecting. HH!

Nice a two ring hit while hunting is always a blast!!!!!

Hi Mikie,

I got out there for three hours+ and wore the dry suit I have that is light weight such as a kayaker might use.

What I thought was a pair of thermal socks wasn't and the thermal underwear I had on weren't up to meeting the challenge of 3 hours in the barely 42F water.

I came away with a brass wedding ring, several quarters, three dimes (1-silver), four nickles and 7 pennies (3-wheaties).

The recent storm covered everything so deeply I was glad I used the Dual Field so I was able to at least find something!!

All in all not too bad a hunt except for having two chunks of frozen meat where my feet used to be and two organic ice cubes where my gonads used to be!!

Then I will be diving and using the detector and the blaster. I always do better at blasting with the scoot

Calm seas
