Had another glorious stinking hunt..

It was late in the afternoon and I didn't have much time so ran down to a school that is close to home that I crossed off my hunt list a long time ago because it was such a lousy site and today proved why. I hunted the playground and the ball fields and scrounged up the magnificent sum of fourteen cents and a knock-out from an electrical box which ID'ed as a quarter. I couldn't believe my good fortune. That place will never see my aching old body again. It's difficult to believe that I used to pull a few bucks out of that crap hole some years ago but it's devoid of coins now and has been for some time..

I was going out to a small town outside of Portland but didn't get my worn out arse out of bed and my chores done in time. I'd go tomorrow but rain is on the menu again as it is constantly anymore. So I'll just have to look at all your finds and hope for better days. This losing streak has to end sometime.

It seems like when I try to get out for a short hunt I don't do very well. Prob. because of rushing!! Still I would rather find fourteen cents than thirteen cents hehe!! HH

Sometimes its like that. I have school near my house that has been pounded by me and a few others at one point or another. I still go there, though for a quick hunt when there is little else to do. I rarely take out more than a dollar in clad, but last season it is where I found a platinum ring that got me $350.

SO I have a certain affection for the place...

Meager finds on your outing.
Find a few places around here like you experienced.
Maybe next hunt will be better !

Going back to a bad spot, is like watching a crash occur. You hate seeing it, but you can't take your eyes off it. I actually had the misfortune to experience that 18 months back I was going through a drive through and watched a car run a red light a got lifted by a large truck. The front door was ripped clean off as the car spun around about 3 foot in the air. I could hear a woman scream and my heart just sunk. Fortunately the injuries weren't too bad, but they had to be cut out of the car.
Sorry to get a bit melancholy. I'd forgotten about it till just then.
Mick Evans.
