Had a pretty good hunt today......

Zx14Guy - They must have been real close togather or right on top of one another. My guess is the quarter must have been closer.
Ray - "Awesome day. !!! Am I going to need a jackhammer the next trip up your way" - I think the drier it gets the easier it is to dig.
Everyone else. Thanks for the comments.

What kind of digging tool are you using and where are they avalible? Thank you for the great vidio it explains a lot.

Thanks Carver

Thanks for the way you made the video. As a soon to be 3030 owner myself and having never run a Minelab detector, the way you filmed the screen and then dug really helps me to get an idea of how the number system works. Thanks again and congrats on the silver!

The digger is a Predator Raptor model 31. I got it from Demarco detector sales. He is a sponsor here.

Nice video Bill. Really enjoyed that. Are you filming with the Magic Arm that I mentioned? Looks like it, very nice.

If you get another chance, would love to see how or if the E-Trac would hit those signals. To save time you could show those the E-Trac doesn't hit on.

Albert

Hey Bill, awesome video! I really enjoyed it and I'm glad you made some great, deep finds. Thank you. HH. Matt

Wonderful video bill I use your trashy park pattern alot so thanks for that.the first target you showed finding with the etrac and then checking with the 30/30 any chance you find deep target with 30/30 and then show how etrac responds?I love my etrac but if I am missing targets like that oh my.thanks again for everything and by the way did you make the digger you are using?thanks again charlie

Thanks Bill for taking the time and effort to film your hunt. I really enjoyed it I'm curious what tripod and mount you're using? I like how well it captured the screen and the actual dig. How much weight does it add? Thanks again!

-Alex

Earthman. Yes I am using the magic arm. I got it and the large superclamp. It works perfect on the CTX and the other detectors I got too. Next time I will do some comparison tests too with the Etrac.

Charlie, the digger is a predator raptor model 31. I will try to do some comparison videos between the two.

akelly I use an 11' articulating magic arm with a large super clamp. You can find them on ebay. They may add a pound the detector but just guessing.

Bill - Be careful with tightening (too much) the Magic Arm too much on the CTX. It can start to dig into the rubber grip. Not sure what you mean about the large superclamp. I think I have the nicer of the two clamps I've seen. It has a very fine adjustment and is black, the other chrome I believe. Is that what you mean?

Looking forward to your comparison videos,
Albert

I did notice that it will dig into the rubber grip a little but it seems to come back out after I take the clamp off.

Great vid Bill.. cool camera mount.. got a schematic for one at manufacturer trying to come up with a titanium build... for less weight..

The mount is brillian. You see that knob at the "elbow"? When you loosen and tighten that it ALSO loosens and tightens the part that connects to the camera and the clamp. So, it makes it VERY QUICK and VERY ADJUSTABLE. It is not just adjusting the elbow part. Really nice mount. Took a bit of money buying various ones before I came to that one.

Not sure if that type of knob tightening mechanism is patentable or not, but for sure, titanium would make it much much lighter. If you get some built, put me down for one ;-)

Bill, thanks for the video. As a brand new CTX user, I can't get enough of this kind of information! Great hunt!

Very good video, easy to watch. I have used the same shovel you are using for several years and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I would say so.... Awesome hunt Bill! I'm still waiting for my first Barber quarter this year!
