Guys tell me what you think!!

right understood, but if ya get a "'high" tone ,are you USUALLY finding coins,or aluminum trash?
this is the concern, because originally,(t.d) indicated the detector could NOT be used in a modern park setting!.
it was designed to be used in sites from the 50's back, because "aluminum" could NOT be calibrated out
in the enhanced mode,so ya HAD to hunt in a site that did NOT contain modern aluminum junk!..just sayin'

Most of the time I get a high tone it is not aluminum trash. Almost never in fact. Its like any other detector to me. Sometimes it may be junk but the detector is pretty accurate in my opinion. If I dug a lot of aluminum scrap with it I would get rid of it quick. I had a Tesoro golden that did do that. Dont have it anymore...;o)

yes!..thanks bill! this IS true with all detectors as you said!,so the question begs, with the exception of
"beaver tails",are the "full tabs" hitting on the mid tone consistently in the enhanced mode?

i hear ya bill! it appears that i should have bought that 1021 back in '04
was never able to get a definitive answer on this until today!..many thanks!

Yes the full tabs are hitting middle tone on mine. Maybe I can find some and do a video for you.......

yea! well that's it!.what i cannot figure is WHY (t.d) insists this detector needs to be in an area with 1950's trash!
if ya can get rid of pull tabs, then the hunt has a chance to succeed in the crap! just sayin'

So far I have not dug a lot of aluminum that has came in at the high coins mark. I am not saying I have never dug any can slaw that came in as high tone. I have not really paid attention to every target I dug and what exactly it came in as but I can tell you that I have not dug a lot of aluminum or can slaw that rang up as high coins. I will probably go out again today and will pay more attention and let you know.
My CZ3d is a couple day's away. I find i dig aluminium with my Vaquero as it comes in as a clean siginal. If i pinpint a large area i know it's a can.
I would love not to dig Aluminum.

Don when you take it on the plane do you check it in or carry it on, Is a small suitcase suitable with homemade foam cut outs the preferred method. I never took one always afraid it would get stoldeen by someone loading the baggage.
