I've had (and used) the coil for some time - it certainly works well but it is very heavy to swing for any length of time - I've used it in trashy park areas which isnt exactly out of the manual, but if you dig all signals (I was looking for rings and coins so dug every signal from 3+ upwards) you will eventually clear an area and so it gets easier to use.

No surprise at all. I have often used it in places where the junk in minimal, in search of older coins. Often times, when people are doing comparison tests with other detectors, they neglect to tell you that the stock coil on the "OTHER" detector is larger then the one on the stock coil on another brand, so often times it will get a deeper signal in that particular test.

Great deep coil...one of my favs. But..you must subtract about 25% (average) depth for in ground conditions. Add 25% to pulse induction detector air test and you will have it about right on.
