GTI 1500 VS 2500

I've got the 1500, but the only thing that I've heard about the 2500 that's better, is the all metal mode. It gives you more depth, but that's only useful if you need the extra depth, which in reality, would be rarely. Only if you were hunting some of the really old sights that you have in the UK, would that be of genuine atvantage. It does image on the fly as well, but you have to be accurate, so no real advantage there, plus it weighs a couple of hundred grams more too.

Are you happy with the 1500? Does that treasure panel screen really find the coins
through the junk?

Im learin my 1500 still... but it does
seem to hit more coins now that Im
kind of familiar with it...

the 2500 has All Metal mode, 3 Tone ID, Larger Display, weighs 1/2 pound more than The 1500

I've heard a lot of good things concerning the GTI 2500, but is there anything
negative to be said about this metal detector before some person goes out
to buy one not knowing all the pros and cons.

The only bad thing I can think of mine is it does get heavy, especially if you put the bigger coil on.

ORION42,

Thanks for the information. I'm debating on whether to buy a 2500 or a 1500. Big
cash difference between the two.

Does teh 1500 not have an all metal mode? Having 2 machines with all metal, I am not sure how you coud do without.
