Bill.

I think I'm going to go with the ACE250 now!!! :) Who is JW, btw?

Personally, I'd go for the GTP 1350 vs. the GTI's.. unless you hunt over fairly homogeneous ground. The AM mode on the GTI 2500 kinda sux for prospecting over highly mineralised and variable ground (binder dundat) and the imaging feature only works with the two (large) coils. The 1350 doesn't have the static sizing of the GTI 1500/2500.. but you can use any of the coils and utilize this feature. For prospecting you're better off using a detector that has a fast autotune and, if in variable ground, ground tracking. I'm not saying the aforementioned 3 detectors WON'T find gold, they will, but it will be more of a struggle and will miss a lot that other units won't. It's kind of analogous to pounding in a nail with a rock.. can be done but a hammer would be better; use the proper tool for the job at hand. ..Willy.

Interesting. A lot of people seem to choose the 1350. I'll have to find out more about it. Is it's profiling any better than sizing with the Ace pinpoint mode?
