Great to have my Manticore back

silvercoinboy

Well-known member
I was using my Nox 800 backup while waiting for a repair part. Went back to the Manticore and the performance difference is clearly evident. I was using my Nox 6" coil and the 5x8 coil for th Malticore.

It is really amazing how the Manticore picks up small pieces that the Nox misses. I dug a tiny silver pendant at 6+inches that came in loud on the same path I passed over with the Nox. I also found several coins in close proximity to iron or foil which hit hard and clear while silent on the Nox. The amazing thing is that the Nox was by far the best for working in a trashy iron-infested site, and the Manticore is a exponential increase over that.

I am really hitting small coins a foot down. any deeper and I don't think I could dig them without completely blowing out the grass!

Hunting with Low conductor, sense at 26, iron off (except to check iffy targets) and speed 7.

I've been holding off waiting for reports.

Thanks. That's Eggzakly what I was hoping for.
The number one lost item in the water.
And soooo elusive it seems.
Hopefully not anymore.

My Carbon fiber upper shaft snapped in two. I think there was a flaw in the material. Minelab replaced it immediately. See my post below
