I got up at 6 also and drove about 10 miles and just got started and it startrd to pour. Wish I could send you some of it.

I got a couple hours in this morning. Found a couple dz clad. I had intended to hit a sports park this morning that has been packed with people all summer, but the gates were closed and I could not get in. I ended up at another ballpark. Another heat advisory set today. I had to stop hunting bout 9am cause I promised to go to a fleamarket with a friend. When I left the ball park I forgot and left my new pro pointer on the back of my truck. I got half way home before I realized what I had done. so I went back and there it was laying in the parkinglot. I thought sure it would be broken but it works fine. Its about 1:00pm and I want to get back to detecting but thunder is starting to roll in. I waited all week to get out and hunt heat or no heat but I wont mess around with lightening. Drat! Well Ron I hope you can get back out there soon. best of luck when you do.

Hi Old Ranger:

Nice to hear SOMEONE got out, even in the rain.

I've been laid up with vertigo so bad I've been house bound. Just had ear surgery
last week, to clear the vertigo up, so now I'm waiting for the stitches to come out and the
antibiotics to do their work. 80% of the people who have this kind of surgery recover and
are not bothered by the vertigo again...usually. Just hope I'm not the other 20%:)-)

The town has been tearing up the streets putting a new sewer drainage system in. I saw an old fellow
out there over the weekend with a Garrett master hunter he bought several years ago. He's been finding mostly
clad but he did find a few Indian heads, a couple Mercs, but his best finds were two standing Liberties on
a side street. Just goes to show you nthe good stuff is still out there.

Regards to all.
Katz

It's hot as can be in Ga. right now and you're right the ground is hard to dig. Old Katz, hope your vertigo is fixed by the surgery and hope you are feeling better soon.
