Northern North Dakota(about 18 miles south of Canadian border)=frozen tundra. This winter has been brutal. That’s just one reason I enjoy all these winter posts. I can dream of warmer and better finds in the future.

I retired last year, so now I can live the dream. "prospecting for treasures and gold."
Man. Experiencing winters like this and as I approach retirement I dream of being able to finally have the time to devout to this great hobby.
I cut my teeth on Garrett detectors in my youth. Grand Master Hunter, Freedom III and Grand Master Hunter III with treasure talk.
I am very much looking forward to your reports and finds with the new vortex. Your experience and history with Garrett products lends credence and trust to what you will reveal.
I am rooting for it and have no doubts it is and will be a quality and successful product. I am looking forward to adding it to my arsenal.
Thanks......I bet if we met in a coffee shop that we could talk hours about our experiences with Garrett machines. When I first started, Charley and I used to exchange mail (real mail, not e-mail) occasionally. And that Treasure Talk.....I will never part with mine. It's a real collectors item. All this new technology today, but they can't make a metal detector talk.

In all metal when I ground balance.
It won't hold GB.
Seems to be constantly hunting to lock on GB
Wondering if Garrett can repair the issue.
A faster recovery speed upgrade would be nice.
I wonder if they can replace the robo girl voice.

Would you know the number and person I should talk to at Garrett about bringing my old gal back to at least original form ?
Though a sexy voice would be really sweet.
When I run it I get enough kids and curious on lookers with the voice.
Be funny if she was a seductive sexy voice.
Praising me on my reported finds.
I'd have an audience tossing coins just to hear her voice.
