GOT MY CTX TODAY AND EITHER MY CHARGER IS BAD OR MY BATTERY?

let it charge 5 hours then the charger was flashing red on the battery part put the battery in the detector and no power so i put aa battery pack in and it works

Leave the battery on the charger until the charger goes solid green. Maybe 12 to 14 hours for a new battery.

You might try unplugging the charger from the AC outlet, unplug the battery from the charger and let them sit for a few minutes (is either warm or hot to the touch?), then plug the battery into the charger, then plug the charger into the wall. Also, you might try it in the car (12v) also. I know I have had the same issue a couple of times where it flashed red for a few moments, then settled down and did it's thing. The car charging is really great for me.

Try plugging the charger in without a battery in it. I checked mine, and with no battery in, it flashes green. Just a check to maybe determine if it's the battery or the charger........

yeah i talked to minelab they think its the battery cause they said it should have enough power in the battery to atleast come on so thier going to send me a new charger and battery

yeah sorry but they sent me a return label by email and said they would have to get the old battery and charger back first before they would send me another one
