Got Mine Good Job Gary Storm :usan:

That is so correct - not having any down time is so critical.

The full explanation that I received about the phones from DetectorPro and the Distributor are in the feedback section.

Thanks all and God Bless.

I'm getting mine Tues or Wed from same place......can't wait. Goodbye land Koss. Now I just need to get my GG NDT's over to Gary for some repairs. He really goes the extra mile on his warranties. Good thing too is he is also a local. As a kid I remember passing by his shop riding in the car with my grandparents and seeing the scuba maniquin outside holding a detector. For some reason that image has been in my head for 25+ years.

Got mine today form same place AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. I had to lower all my audio volume limit, threshold etc. I had all about maxed out on the koss. I cannot wait to get them and the DMC's as I bought them as well out for a hunt!

two questions:
1) is the headpone itself waterproof or just the connector?
2) can these be used with the WM-10 on land when not being used in the water?
Thanks

Yes the headphone and connector are both waterproof and guarunteed.
Unfotunately you cannot use them with the wireless option on land but can use the phones directly connected as you would use in the water. You can also opt for ther after market phones like the regular grey ghosts or pretty much any other type that will plug directly to the wireless. The wireless connection is not waterproof. What I am saying is that you will need a set for land and a set for water and currently there is only one place to obtain your waterproofs unless you want those big bird phones.....lol GL & HH Joe

They are distributing the koss and some will still buy them naturally but imo they are very inferior.

I have a general question about using waterproof phones. When underwater does water fill the headphone cups and your ear canals when in use?

And, when used out of the water is the fedelity as good as the regular non-waterproof version of the GG's?

Joe - Great memories last a lifetime...

I used to work there when I was a teenager... Good times... Good people....

Yes sir, thats the one. I wonder if thats the real reason behind the name Grey Ghost or if they really had confederate influence.

Good question etracjoe I like to think it is confederate influence Gray Ghost was John S Mosby and he was a colonel in the confederate army so I like to think that for the history goes with detecting lol. Hard to beat the phones no matter the influence the rock!!!!

I remember Gary telling me it was a confederate influence, I thought the image was Robert E Lee, but maybe it was Mosby ...

Not sure how Mosby has been depicted over the years, would have to look that up, but General Lee was depicted as a short white/grey haired general with a full beard to match.

He could have intended it as General Lee it was mosby who nick named the gray ghost. http://www.civilwaracademy.com/john-mosby.html
