Hey all,
I decided to go out for an evening hunt last night after being inspired by all of your posted finds. You'd have to laugh at this, it was frigggin cold, Honolulu standards. Any way, I wasn't getting very many targets in the water, hot rocks, Bobbie pins, and some clad. Chattering teeth and pruning finger tips, and among other things
, I started to head back to the truck. As I was swinging the wet sand back to the truck, I thought about surfdiggers videos and his explanations of sand movement and where targets might be. I found a small saturated area of sand where the water would recede lower then the surrounding area. What the heck, I thought and concentrated my efforts in and around the area. No targets. Shucks no joy on this theory. As I took approximately three steps away from the search area I heard a sharp crisp tone from my White's PI Pro 950. Dug in with my hand and pulled out this tiny ring. At first, I thought it was either a silver or platinum ring due to the low light conditions. But when I got home, the wife pulled out my stash and said it was a gold ring, cool, I thought. After a closer look, it's plated. Non the less, definitely a good addition to my ring collection.
Thanks surfdigger for the vids.
Aloha, Ike
