well i was thinking of trying a at pro and wonted a gti 2500 but was going to by a x 705 so i got the Tesoro Outlaw with 4 coils ...................hay dont look at me it was 53silver falt

I have one and love it,mainly because i can share the coils with the golden. The new 12x10 DD that comes with the outlaw does magic on my golden. They say the outlaw is really like the bandiddo.Which was a favorite of the tesoro fans.:clapping:

Consider me mega-jealous. Tesoro's 12x10" coils are really, really done right - the weight is such that I cannot see too many situations where I'd ever use the 9x8" again. Defeating 75% of the mineralization effects by virtue of using a DD coil = victory.

yea i had the mighty V with the 10x12 dd but the outlaw was a better deal for me

Congrats on the new Outlaw!

I am torn between the Vaquero and an additional 5.75" coil or the Outlaw. Both for about the same price $550. I know the Vaq would probable be a little bit deeper, but other than that is there any major advantage to either? Help!!!

Amazingly the outlaw has not been really been broke in yet.The outlaw is more user friendly than the v.We are going to find more and more virtues about the Outlaw as time goes on.The v's bad is it is not very user friendly. You can't just switch into all metal and hunt with the v.The non-modulated signal of the v can mess with you while searching for deep targets. The thinking behind coming out with the Outlaw is for tesoro users that own a umax detector,to have a umax in the current line to ground balance in both modes.Like the Golden and outlaw make me a perfect combination.I got a coin shooting park detector and a deeper all around detector. o_O

Razorback, let us know how you like it , and be shure to try the no motion for some relick hunting , and having those coils will give you advantige in many situations,, I have not been out but one time with it because of winter , but when i took it to the snow hill I did not dig one foil or nail just coins and a few tabs , but I am waiting to get it out in the woods to relick hunt in its no motion , Wich i did do a test on in ground on a medium gold ring and in the no motion , it hit the ring 9" deep plus 3" in the air with a diggable signal , so if thear is a ring or gold coin its going to home in on it and in disq i got the ring as well at 9" deep had to crank the gain but it got it so it has reasonable depth for sure

never used the Outlaw, only the Vaquero. The V being a HOT machine must be deeper but also wilder, the 3 coils and poles set of the Outlaw is a good deal.

I will say this, the outlaw is plenty deep! Ground balance is critical. She goes a little positive when switched to disc after ground balancing in auto tune. If I power balance i gain 2"-3" in depth!! Once she's balanced just right, it's a beast. I hunted in the woods yesterday for two hours and was sore from digging such deep holes. Super tuned, she will have you digging .22 shells at 10" with the 8" concentric. Found an 1880 Indian on the trail 7" deep and could still lift my coil 3"-4" from the ground!!! That's plenty deep for me..HH and enjoy.

One strange thing I forgot to mention.. Put her into all metal non motion with disc turned down all the way. Now swing a copper penny and notice the depth. Then increase the disc to just above foil and you lose half of the depth. I found this to be very odd. I thought the disc was'nt tied into all metal? Anyone?

i will let you know my thoughts i had the v and will have the outlaw this week cant wate

Razor back , yes i did notice that , what i find is set the disq wher you want it and then switch into threshold all metal and balance , but if you move the disq after that it will afect it but that no motion is very deep .

thats good to know thanks

Gunnar, i've watched all of your videos and want to thank you for taking the time to make these for all of us here. I really enjoy the Outlaw stuff as I own one as well. Do you find the same thing with all metal as I do? I mentioned it in a post above but here it is again incase you missed it.

Place the machine in all metal non motion with disc at minimum. You'll notice say a penny will sound off at a great distance and very "round" sounding. Now if you turn the disc to say foil, the penny now sounds off much sharper as if in disc mode and you lose half of the depth. This was done in an air test and not on the ground. I just found this very odd. I always thought that once in all metal that the disc isn't part of the circuit anymore. Am I wrong? Sorry for the Hijack..

Fred that right it will do that , that suprized me as well . so I set the disq whear i want it then ground balance in threshold, then switch to no motion , and then i use the threshold to get mor or less depth , Nother cool thing about the outlaw is that the no motion will do what nothing els can do with a hot rock , I have a hot rock not cold , that I can not ignor in the threshold all metal but by balancing negitive in the ground next to it then switching to no motion I am now silent over the rockand surounding ground but can just hammer a dime under it . whear as when i put it in disq i can not get the dime under it , so the outlaw can do what nothing els can this gives a great advanting in cerian gravle beds, ya you will dig all but hay its that or nothing

Very impressive indeed. I have been really digging the 10x12 DD. Most would say in heavy iron cellar holes the smaller coil to be better, but this thing just shines at these locations!! It's fantastic at ignoring the nails and still able to get a hit on anything non ferrous. I have a cellar hole I visit often with enough nails to scrap and make a weeks pay...Lol. My idx and f2 have done everything they can there. I picked a 10' x 10' area loaded with heavy iron and square nails and went at it with the 5.75" coil on the outlaw and was a little bummed. It sounded off on the iron like crazy!! Days later I went at it with the DD and it was just amazing!! I pulled two colonial buttons from the 10' x 10' area and very solid signals. Since I have an 8" on my f2 and a 9.5" on the idx I stayed away from the 8" donut for the outlaw until last week. Boy am I glad I put that baby on though. The depth with the 8" super tuned or not is just amazing!! I dug for two hours Saturday and was tired from digging so deep for .22 shells. I managed an 1880 Indian and went home happy. It's a great machine. It's cold as hell here right now so i'm sticking to the woods until the spring having a blast digging 15" holes with this little beast..Thanx again for all of your input and keep those vids coming for us new guys!!

boy i cant wate i have to old loge house sites to hunt
