TRIED to order one from my dealer here on findmall was told sales has been stopped due to issues with em:surprised::ranting:

I wonder what kind of issues?.That's weird. So you say the golden has issues.I am sure glade i got one then.I really like it to. :-C

They may have it too souped-up for the novice user.

It was because of the golden i got into metal detecting again.Do you think Tesoro is going to change the golden?I bet they sold out for the holidays and need time to make more.Think about it.Since they changed the tone they probably did not make enough. And detectorist have found out how good it is.No joke,i am going into some colonial sites also with the golden. That is how much i like it and have confidence in it.For standard park hunting, the golden all the way.I may be going here in a while today. :bouncy:

Either the dealer has nothing to sell you, can't order you one till after Christmas, and wants to make some extra Christmas money to sell you something else....
Whatever......
Call Tesoro directly and get the straight answer. If they don't answer the phones this week. Shop maybe closed for the Holidays.

I would have had to ask, "WHAT ISSUES" are you talking about as soon as those words pasted his lips. Who's the dealer? I'll ask him.:)

I have never had a reason to not to believe this person he has alwas been fair and honest in his dealings as a dealer. In fact he has made things right ,when it was no fault of his own. AND NO he did not try to sell me somthing else. I will trust his word as true. And someone all ready posted same info concerning this issue also when he to tried to purchase one from his dealer.

For those of you wanting a Golden

I really like the Golden.I hope it is not a tech issue.I am hoping they sold out around the holidays.Detectorist are really looking for a great detector that has notch and tones.Because of the amount of trash we are faced with.I believe these two features will be the great thing in upcoming metal detecting technology.Tones and notch discrimination circuit advancement.I don't give a rip about display.Display seems so bulky, everyone says they don't use it,it's unreliable.I want detectors to get smaller and lighter. But it seems most company's are going in another direction besides Tesoro.I love how they get the weight issue, while keeping great performance.Maybe we will find out something soon about the golden if Robert would get off vacation. o_O

I just spoke with Rusty Henry. Bottom line: Tesoro didn't manufacturer enough Cleansweep coils to meet demand. They're on back order.

The 'new' Cleansweep coil is a big hit. Heck, I'm even going to order one.

Did you ask rusty about how come the golden sales are halted.Don't know if it is true but someone on another forum said the parts they need to produce the Golden's tones have come hard to get. This just does not sound right to me. :-Q

I usually get the current coil just days before it becomes the clunker.... Nice to finally be in front of a coil revision!
