I'm gonna have use my Golden more often in trashy places. Did some air tests in disc mode using the 8x9 coil. This little detectors multitones really separates trash from treasure, better than any other detector I have. When a steel nut (nut is a hair smaller than a dime) was placed 2" above a dime or quarter and a little off to the side, I got a low and mid tone mixed signal. A slower sweep helped too. Removed the coin and only the low tone remained. Then I raised the coil 2" higher and the midtone from the coin came thru easier yet, seems like when the nut was closer to the coil the masking was more severe. Believe it or not, the 8x9 did much better than the 7" concentric in this test, the 7" gave no mid tone, only a low tone.
