I'd sell it so fast, the gold would melt from the friction of getting it to the buye
You do realize you will owe taxes at your current rate or a max of 28 percent. Sleepy joe changed the rules so any sale over 600 bucks will be subject to federal tax. I guess it is up to you to determine cost basis. Someone has to pay for government overspending. Some of us have asked the same thing when gold hit 800, then 1000, then 1200, 1500, 2000, now 2400 how about 3000?
If you don't need the cash, I would hold onto it. When you do sell, never look back. The hobby has paid for itself, enjoy it.
To bad cash is king still I sold mine to a friend cash no paper trail screw them it’s found silver and gold .You do realize you will owe taxes at your current rate or a max of 28 percent. Sold jewelry that is personally owned at a loss compared to the retail value. Hmmm ... could get an appraisal for insurance valuation and claim sales at a loss. You do realize you will owe taxes at your current rate or a max of 28 percent. Sure they will give you 3-5% back, hoping you can't pay the balance off in full each month ,so they can nail you with 20 to 30 percent on the average Dailey balance. Nice of them to offer 5 %.Yep… I have heard of that too in my State.. Virginia.
First started seeing it at gas stations.. now restaurants are doing it too.
Only good point is that some card companies offer cash back.
How'd you do at the casino ?I sell to a local jeweler that I have been going to for years. He pays 85% of spot, and is always happy to see me at the end of Beach season. When spot went over $3,000.00 I took him a Troy pound and I'm just back from the Casino. Happy Days!
