Gold ring

Not much to say about this one. 10k wedding band about 10 inches deep at shoreline. Found it second signal of a 3 hour hunt. Just change and trash after the ring.

Nice ring Max, I was just thinking of going to VA.beach tomorrow at low tide. Its good to know that it is slow finds there to and not just the beaches in the bay. The only gold i have found this year was a gold crown from a tooth, lol. it weighs in at 2.3 grams.

It is always a good feeling to get that first one out of the way. I've found that I can stop and smell the roses a little more often when I already have one in my pouch.

Great find.

Slumps are a science onto themselves. Show me a detectorist that is serious about finding gold and I'll show you a detectorist that has had a slump. I've justified slumps in my mind as that's just the way detecting is. It comes with the territory. I've had times after a bad day or two or three that maybe I should look for another hobby. But after being away for a few days I start getting the itch. I think that's what separates the true detectorist from the average person. You and I both know that slumps always end. Always.

Congrats,
Nice to see someone finding gold during the cold months. I've been working on my fishing boat and haven't detected much lately. Seeing your finds has given me the itch! HH
