[size=medium]i was raised in that area and you're darn fortunate not to have been mugged or attacted by gang bangers. the early hour may have played a part. they would be the only ones with any gold in that part of portland and that park. great find for sure.

I would have to agree it's not the best part of town, which is why I sharpen my Lesche daily:lol: I hunt the old parks in Portland all the time and have never had any issues. Lots of watchers and a few less fortunate asking for change! But yeah it's a scary thought to put your headphones on and turn your back to a few of em out there!
