Finds are from the past few weekends since my last post. All finds are with my XP Deus 2 metal detectors.
Most of the finds are from North Dakota with a few coming from Minnesota after the snow hit.
Everything was found at researched public sites except the Axe head was found at a field site with very tall stubble close to my parent's farm in SW ND and a 1925
Mercury dime was pulled at their farm (farm is circa 1941. First silver found there in 18 years!)
The gold ring was pulled in ND and was a good 9 inches deep and read like a nickel. A 1925 dime was found in the area also.
The signet ring was at least a couple inches deeper than that. That was pulled in MN. It cleaned up very well, so I am wondering if it has some silver in it.
I had a little big silver luck lately.
Both Walking Liberty half dollars were surrounded by a lot of trash. One was found in ND a couple of weeks ago and the 1945 was pulled Saturday in MN.
It was almost straight up and down in the hole (see pic).
The 1872 Indian Head was pulled at the same park. At first I thought it was 1878 so I was pretty excited when it was the more rare date.
That is my 2nd 1872 as I pulled one about 15 years ago that was more worn.
Thanks for looking everyone and have a nice Thanksgiving!
Dave
