Going to the beach tomorrow with my home made scoop

Well needed a scoop so used some of the ideas from the forum here and added some of my ideas to it I used 4 in PVC pipe and a 20deg elbow I put a 38 in long handle through the pipe at a 20 deg angle also held the EMT pipe in with a concrete bolt screen on the back oh and I used an old hand drill handle for a shaker handle 14 in from the scoop well tomorrow is the test run .:pulltab:

Every path to discovery starts with a first step.

There can be many pleasures in a DIY project.

You may expect a fair result in very dry sand and in very loose wet sand where there is wave action.

Looks Good, you may want to sharpen the edge of the scoop for better penetration. Best of Luck, let us know how she faired..................

just wondering how she faired ???

Many Of us Pirates have been down the same road, The good is, you are into one of the few hobbies that will pay for that scoop and detector down the road...........Good Luck.............joe
