The Sovereign puts out a square wave that toggles between +5V and -5V. The frequency varies from 10KHz to 50KHz. The edge rates are very fast, makes the 10V transition in under 200ns. Your first challange is to create a power supply that takes your battery voltage and converts into a dual supply. This supply must put out positive and negative voltages that can be adjusted between 5V and 10V. Both the Positive and Negative rail will need to source at least 500ma. This supply will provide power to the circuit that amplifies the +5V/-5V square wave coming out the the Sovereign. I can tell you right now who ever is going to help you with this will need a sovereign in his hands to be able to do this. You need to have the output signal from the detecter to test the circuits.
