Getting me a T2+ soon

I might need some help setting it up for hunting in square cut nail hell.

I hear All Metal goes deepest. Not sure of other settings though.

I hope so. I'm only getting the stock coil for now. I've heard about the NEL Snake coil for it which is 6.5 x 3.5 inches. Not sure
if it would be better than the 5" concentric coil though.

Then there's the 10" Teknetics elliptical coil. I don't know the width of it though and am not sure if it is better than the Snake coil.


Then there's the Cors Scout at 12.5" x 8.5"


If anyone has any ideas on any of these coils, I'd appreciate it. It would be nice to know if they are any better than the stock coil.

Keith S. has decided that he likes the FT 5" DD coil on the T2+ better than the Snake coil.-------You probably should get a G2+ rather than a T2+ though!

I just got the T2+ and may get the Ultimate 13 coil when relic hunting season is back in... getting too hot here! From what I've seen it can do on my At Max, it should be interesting. Good luck hunting.

The T2+ is a heck of a machine at a super price. I have had three different T's now. The + is the quietest yet.

Now I really have to try the A.M. mode per the video. I really appreciate it when others share what they know.

1. Turn detector on.
2.Go to Sensitivity . . . turn up to 90's if possible
3. Disc. = 0
4. # of Tones 2+ or better bP Mode
5. Go to All Metal Mode, crank up to 99 if possible
6. Hum Level leave it be
7. Manual Ground Balance: slowly lower coil to the ground and adjust
slightly positive

I emailed the company this morning to see if they shipped my T2 yet. It was Monday I ordered.

They emailed me back and said they were out of them and asked if I wanted reimbursed. I told them to reimburse me.


This irritates me that a company can't be forthright in just saying on their web site that an item is out of stock.


So I will have to order from someone else now.

I emailed the company this morning to see if they shipped my T2 yet. It was Monday I ordered.

They emailed me back and said they were out of them and asked if I wanted reimbursed. I told them to reimburse me.

I feel your pain Tony! I emailed a place that sells detectors, and they told me they had 1 left in stock. I put in my order the next morning (close to lunch) and the unit had already been sold, then was told t here was a 2 week back-order delay since Technetics could not keep up with the demand. I ended getting one a little quicker than 2 weeks, but 'it is what it is'.

As for as boost mode goes, I have read at several sites that it only kicks in if your discrimination is 50 or higher. Personally I'm nervous to use a discrimination level that high because I hear various versions of gold rings (white gold, rose gold, etc) will ring up in the 30s and 40s. Living in Canada, I am cursed in that our 1 and 2 dollar coins ring up as iron (although I only found one $1 coin and it rang up as copper).

It’s a shame the website you ordered from wasn’t correct. The T2+ is currently in back order at the FT factory in El Paso, so. Everyone has to wait...

You need to read the manual to get the correct info on the boost mode. BP is a boost mode that is set by changing the settings. There is also a boost mode that kicks in when you set the disc. to 50. It also kicks in at a setting of 5.

Boost mode is not brought about by raising one's discrimination. If one goes to "# OF TONES" bottom right of the screen and raise it to it's highest it then enters into bP mode (Boost Mode).
One can still have zero disc. in both "ALL METAL" and "DISCRIM" sides and still be in Boost Mode.
