Getting A New XP Deus Friday

Learn the factory programs, use them and become proficient with them. Deus spent a lot of time developing these programs .so use them

Copy that... Using those programs does it matter if the horseshoe is used or XY screen? I've heard xy works great for coin hunters but not if you want relics as well any truth to that?

Sounds like your getting a lot of good advice. Just don't get frustrated. I am a coin shooter as well. A test garden and local parks was how I got started. And I still go to parks just for fun hunts and to get my ear back in to it.. Good luck

Yes the xy screen works well "IF " there's nothing else in the hole. I tend to favor the xy screen as well . But of course the sound is my first sign. The great part of the Deus is you can't screen it up. Just go at it. Just pick you a preset program as a base, think I use #2 GM Power and made little changes as i went. Then save it if if you want, remember you can't screw it up. Any questions go to you tube and watch Garys skill school. He has a video explaing each function of theeach XP. Let me know how you get along

Thanks we have had triple digit heat numbers lately but once they go down I'll be back out...

What VDI was the Iron? Why frequency were you in and are you running normalized ID scale or not?

Some people suggest notching 97-99 to help deal with Iron wrap around. On detectors with depth gauges, this normally shows as very shallow but is inevitably much deeper which is one of the giveaways for me for flattened aluminum cans a bigger iron.
