getting a new detector help

Oh -that was just an additional point that hadn't been mentioned. I have 5 coils and I'm still learning & experimenting. Prospecting is on my bucket list-but the 705 has worked great from the beach,low mineralized,high mineralized trashy & clean areas. As good a MD as you can get for the $.

thanks i was thinking it will work in all my needs but under water and if i get under water call 911

Yeah--I'll be getting a machine that is waterproof some day (as an addition) 705 has read coins 7-8" deep in wet salt sand. Get a protective cover for the 705 and even bag it around salt.

well me iam a coin hunter and i put a pulltab down and a clad dime it had the 10" coil and the recovery speed was not thair but it is a deep MD i liked it for that and still might get one later for depth

Minelab's aren't known for speed....just depth and accuracy.
