Garrett's new atpro headphone adaptor

garrettlover

New member
everybody asked for it and here it is
suggested retail price $39.95 available for pre order now available by the end of feb. along with the sniper coil

You need to purchase an adapter for the AT Pro, then plug your favorite headset and wrap it with this Nashua silicone tape. I have used it in the past when I waterproofed an ACE 150, and had to add an extension cable. Just plug in your headset, then wrap the section of the male & female connector, and you are set to go. This tape worked great! You just want to make sure it is water proof on the connection at the AT Pro site connection..

i added garrett gizmo to extend arm cup back a few inches.

will this adapter still reach with the gizmo being used.

see gizmo

my home made extension is longer.....3ft and i clip to shirt or jacket and plug in phone jack there.

I was told that you might have to install it farther up than the picture shows if you use the gizmo.like on the the shaft somewhere.where it would have been positioned without the gizmo.

GarrettLover,
Where is this posted? I went to the Garrett site, but could not find it. Is it on a dealer only page?
Thanks,
John Morton

I received it from my distributor and forwarded it to uncle willy,so I assure you I didn't make it up lol.but not being a sponsor here I can't give you any other details sorry but that's this sites rules.and yes all dealers should have a copy

You gotta love the "Pre-order" bit.

$39.00 for a wire and plug? Common, aren't we getting just a wee bit greedy? Sheesh!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :stars:

Yea, it's a shame when ya gotta buy extras just to use a new machine!!!!!!

That sure is a cheap fly by shot from someone who is a regular poster.....the cracks are starting to show. Honestly.....read what you said. It doesn't even make any sense. You don't NEED to buy the adapter at all to use the AT Pro. You don't even own an AT Pro. Surely you can be a little more constructive then that?

Of course, you could order the parts on line and build your own. I know several people who have. You DO have choices.........I have never seen any manufacturer in the metal detecting industry just give adapters away. If you decide to build one, you might discover what a challenge they can be to produce. And they are bulit in Texas by the way.

I will be ordering an adapter to find out. I'm positive the adapter bracket will fit under the Gizmo nut. You may have to drill a larger hole in the bracket or clamp it by adding a flat washer?

Just the water proof plug cost $20-$25....not including the rest and the labor. Sounds fair to me. I made my own external speaker set up for my Infinium and all the parts cost me $75-$80.

I dont have to buy these extras for my AT Pro to work...I know its hard for you to use common sense...you can try though.
