Garrett Z-Lynk Wireless System

Regrettably, they didn't work out for me. No lag but the connection was spotty and inconsistent. Had to send 'em back. :(
I had exactly the same problem. Sent them back too. Sent an inquiry to Garrett and they said the same nonsense about turning up the threshold and volume on the Etrac. They also said they had no reports of problems while using Z Lynk on Etracs. I guess they don't read the forums.

Me too. Same problem. At first I thought I was in very heavy trash with the Etrac nulling out.
No matter how slow I went it was still nulling.
Then I completely stopped moving and realized the audio was intermittently cutting in and out. Not nulling on trash.
I shut off the Z-Link and plugged straight back in to the Etrac and the problem was solved.
I also had problems with the unit shutting off completely every 10 to 30 minutes.
I called Garrett and got the same volume story. I tried adjusting but nothing changed.
Garrett is replacing my unit which should be here any day. Hopefully the new one works. I really got spoiled running wireless with my CTX.

Not long after my last post my replacement Z-Lynk showed up.
Preliminary testing in my back yard is promising.. They seem to work just fine.
The real test will be a longer hunt later this week.
