Garrett Vortex VX9 may have major flaw(s) with latest version software.

That's a bummer. Please contact Garrett about that problem so that they are aware of it, as it might just be your unit or many more.
Another user/owner of Vortex VX9 has confirmed this behavior with latest version update. See comment in video I posted above by MDNWI. He looked at and discovered many of the flaws with Vortex esrley on.
I don’t own a vortex.
